a good word revolution

From our vantage point, one positive word can make all the difference in the world. One positive view possesses the power to transform. f a b u l o u s

No book, no blog entry, no tweet, no card, t-shirt or speech is created at p i c t u r e l e s s books that isn’t fun and our fullest pleasure. When we have fun, we create fun. We love to take on fiery subjects and make them fun. Life’s biggest, toughest subjects deserve a little feisty fun. So, when things get funky, and make us feel like we’re falling over a big cliff, we first find the fun, then play from there.

C histmas C ard

The c a n v a s series offers a creative way to teach art, to do art and to play and make the words come alive. First in the imagination, next, we hope on the page, or screen, in the sand, or on the icing of a cake! These words can then expand one’s knowledge, and thus, expand the pleasure of the art in a museum, the images on TV or in the movies, or of course, in reading a book. Knowing the words of art, make art come a l i v e !

When we play with our abc’s we find beautiful, simple ways to expand our lives. In our dream to make feeling good simple and fun, we turned to the source of learning that we all have in common, no matter what culture, gender, age, creed. The abc’s unite us in ways that we have only begun to find. The possibilities are endless, and the fun, simple: infinite.

Greensburg, Pennsylvania brought the co-creators together in graduate school where Adrea and Teffanie completed Seton Hill University’s Writing Popular Fiction program. They gallivanted between scheduled classes in search of writing solitude. One such chance occasion, they gravitated to the same gorgeous quiet place where the seeds of their great partnership took root.

a p p r e c i a t e

Yesterday my ten year old daughter participated in and completed the city's 5k holiday run, The Jingle Bell Jog!  Midland Mayor, Wes Perry,  accepted my daughter's school's gift donation of $500 for another school rebuilding in Haiti.

I felt an overwhelming urge to give him a positive word card.  Seconds before the start of the race, I raced to my car and pulled out the tiny box that housed my cards.  Sifting through I found the perfect one.  a p p r e c i a t e In time for the gun, the card was delivered.

I appreciate those that don't forget.  I appreciate the people that do the work for those of us who are busy doing the other work.  Maybe we can collectively get it all done.  He even left the kids with a positive word for this in his mini pre-game pep-talk- nukabab.  The spelling of which I am not sure, but it means 'we c a n do it'.

I soon will consult with my fabulous partner to see if his sponsored school could be a recipient in a our fund raising effort.

Stay tuned.

Helping people has been the primary intent of p i c t u r e l e s s books since Teffanie envisioned it years ago. We will donate part of our profits. We will give away books. We will give our time and energy to charities and people and organizations we believe in. We are partnering with others to create alphabets and projects that will further their causes and passions. Think about purchasing a pictureless product for you holiday shopping.  It is our hope that we help. And so we will.

T e f f a n i e !

I love all your posts. You are an A M A Z I N G creator! Look at all the magic you are bringing to this site! I love it! I love it!! More, please. Always more.

Why p i c t u r e - l e s s? I mean why not have images and photos and illustrations? Easy. We believe in you. We believe by not exposing you to what we think, you will decide. You will let your imagination soar and create whatever image is most beautiful to you. We also tend to wonder if we all aren't a wee overstimulated by images. Maybe, just maybe, the words we offer will soothe when you need soothing, inspire you when you inspiring, jolt you when you need jolting, love you when you need loving, ease you when you need easing and create you when you need creating.

How does a word become p i c t u r e l e s s?

Millions, no, billions of words apply to become pictureless, but few are chosen.

The process is quite intricate and I will share a small part the rest is top secret.

A topic from the master Excel spreadsheet is chosen.  About a week, month, or year of personal deliberation occurs.  When a coinciding vibrational moment happens, Adrea and I meet online, onemail, ontext, onphone then in about ten seconds the list is complete.

Adrea begins the delicate design process.

I begin the testing phase.  People from 0-100 become the world word testers.  I rate their responses from 0-10.  I randomly throw test words into sentences, post them on facebook, allow people to read the manuscript.  pictureless book books have manuscripts!

Sometimes the words don't meet the challenge.  I call Fabulous Adrea.  "Have you gotten to 'b' yet? I'm not really feeling the response from the ten year old market testers.  What about..."

We blurt out words in a swirling moment of synchronicity speaking in words when the same word sparkles out at the same time.  Voila!  Exchange.  Now to test that word.

If a 18 year old pregnant woman comes banging on your office door saying, "Hey, Lady, where are the words?  I need to read them to Xavier (the unborn, now born child)."

Bingo!  We have magic.  After magic appears the not so test readers are invited.  The critique partners, the editors, the significant others - pictureless book books are edited!

Next step- publishing.

If you have any words that are interested, tell them to apply on FB at the pictureless book page.

We are looking for words.  Words that tickle your insides, free your mind,  touch your dreams, elevate your vibration, demand peace, create brain combustion, make you LOL, and LIL, churn your soul, that cause a pitter patter, toe tapping dragonfly imagine more effect.

Special consideration given to 'x's and 'y's.

Fabulous Month o' Pink

It's all pink again!

Last October, I don't remember.

This year, each ribbon follows me and leaves pink traces behind my eyelids.  This year- the year of biopsies, the year of lumpectomy, the year my mother had a mastectomy.

Adrea is in the habit of sending by post (that in itself is fabulous).  Sometimes the treats from my partner breathe through their packaging, forcing my children to rattle the contents.  That time they were pictureless word cards.  Each card presented one of the words we claim on post sized cards, business sized cards, or itty bitty cards.  They were gorgeous.  I traveled with them half across the state to share with my mother during the post chemo / pre surgery / pre radiation hospital moments.

Mom twisted them around and palmed them.  I saw fear vanishing from her.  When the anesthesiologist entered, he began to share the process.  First, we will do this, then that, the important thing is to clear your mind.

"We have words for that, Mom, from the 'nothing' series."

The doctor was intrigued.  I shared p i c t u r e l e s s with him- Clear Clouds, Memory Music, Invisible Icicles.  He deemed them appropriate and darling.  He modified my mother's instructions to a p i c t u r e l e s s place.

In a childlike voice my mother asked for surgical tape.  When he returned she began praying and taping positive word cards on her body.  Then, my fear vanished.  This is l i f e and life is b e a u t i f u l.

Each hospital employee, visitor, and friend that witnessed that moment became instantly radiant.  The words connected us, protected us, and let us breathe through those moments one moment at a time.

It's all pink again!

"A powerful agent is the right word whenever we come upon one of those intensely right words...the resulting effect is physical as well as spiritual and electrically prompt." -Mark Twain

We want you to feel better right now!

When I began collecting words in my classrooms, the results on the morale of my at risk students were positively phenomenal. One parent reported that they saved her child's life during a spell he served in solitary confinement. He recited the words he learned from class repeatedly until his spirits lifted. When my students graduated, I had them tell me their favorite positive word. I was always emotionally moved, and my word was and is always fabulous.

We began to use positive words at bedtime at home. I wrote each word down in the positive words journal. The collection grew. Once, I wanted to sleep in the car on the beach to ensure a perfect sun rising experience, before sleeping my son reminded us to play the 'good word game'. He was last to say his word and it was 'hotel'. He was three.

Whilst revising the manuscripts for this round of edits, my current students would critique each page. One student started reading the pages to the baby in her womb. Another said that she wished something like this was available when she were younger.

I then met a n g e l life coach, Lisa Lawrence, and collaborated with a n g e l partner, Adrea L. Peters. Adrea is a m a z i n g.

We envision the pages everywhere... in the classrooms, on the smartboards, on t-shirts, on greeting cards, on phones, on computer screens, randomly accessible to everyone. We believe this word revolution can change our world, right now!

Digital mediums will be our current method to blast these words into the world. Each series has been lovingly crafted in a different format. The pages are p i c t u r e less. We give these words to you. Each word is yours to do with what you choose.

"People with an impoverished vocabulary live an impoverished emotional life. People with rich vocabularies have a multihued palette of colors with which to paint their experience, not only for others, but for themselves as well." - Anthony Robbins

I love you!

Ahh... almost done and can then get these out into the world! Y i p p e e!

As for "S"... I was meaning spoken as in the words--these positive, beautiful nuggets become a part of our lives... so much so we don't even notice them, for we have become them. I will try to encapsulate that sentiment. Or give it a whirl?

I hope you have a wonderful Monday!

v

From our vantage point, one positive word can make all the difference in the world. One positive view possesses the power to transform. It is our forever hope that among the thousands of words we illuminate, one will resonate and shift the vantage point of the receiver to a view of the world that vaporizes any and all negative emotion they ever could have visualized. V a v o o M!

Whoa! What? WOW! Um, those are actually the most common three words used at p i c t u r e l e s s. Our success amazes us. We feel as if it all just started though it has been in the works for well over a decade. What makes us happiest is to hear a child read their letters and beam with pride as the word quietly, or boldly, touches their heart. We see it everyday. Every single day. Whoa! What? WOW!

x

Xlokk. A word we never heard of. Xanadu. Heard of it, no clue what it meant. Learning. Daily. Creating. More. Hourly. Learning is the seed to life. From there, we grow. From there, we seek. From there, we become. From there, we expand. What a beautiful thing! Xerox it! Quick!

y

You. p i c t u r e l e s s is yours. We believe it is yours more than you may ever know and that is absolutely fine. But, while we have you here reading this, please know it is YOU who we want to say YES to and that is exactly what we do!

z

We’re aiming for our zenith. Always. And guess what the best part is? Our zenith is always pushing us ahead so we are always moving forward. Our zenith drives our growth. We sure hope you’ll decide to come along for the ride.

Butterfly Adrea,

The alphab(ull)ets are fabulously perfect! In response to your email, it is time. Thank you.

P, S, and T... I only had about ten seconds!

Adrea would describe herself in one word: n e r d. She likes quantum physics, actually she might like it a little too much. She also loves the histories of mathematics, particle physics and noetics. She does even things out by liking yoga and fooooddd! Between her and Teffanie, they have plenty of degrees and credentials for this company. Adrea with a B.S. in journalism, teff in education liberal arts, both with masters in writing. In their daily lives teff spends her time with children and adrea with computers. The match is perfectly genius. Beyond anything either could have put together on their own.

Satiate. Savory. Succulent. Silly! Ah the spoken word. Our books are best, we believe, when spoken. Not just read aloud. Spoken. Not just in the moment of reading the book. Spoken. Spoken in that they have become a part of a reader’s vocabulary. Or even better, a part of their lives. We are moved beyond measure by the spoken. S is for Space. Own your space. (from A is for Angel, our talisman.)

I'm in conflict with 's', or 's' is in conflict with me. I want the world to hear the words, and say the words, but primarily to eat the words anyway they can.

Since the onset of our facebook word revolution last week, we all have been playing with positive words. I love reading them, seeing them, feeling them, imagining them all over me. Is that in conflict with this bullet? I do want them spoken... IDK let me know what you think. LOVE talisman

Teffanie. p i c t u r e l e s s is her brain child. A Words are a way of life for her. And when she and Adrea connected, she knew immediately imagined the partnership possibility ies. of it all. She’s good like that. (Adrea not so much but she has other talents!) Teff is an educator, an uplifter, a mother to Imhotep and Halima, a sister and the most curious soul you might ever meet. Together, these two creators blend, bringing out the best in each other and the result, so far, is this incredible company. Tomorrow? Who knows! Fabulous!

Quick. Once we create a book, it goes to market in about 3 days. Quite quick! We project seven books every seven weeks. And there is no end in sight to the quality and quantity of our freshness and love for our products.

r

Reduce. Reuse. Recycle. We see p i c t u r e l e s s as renewable energy, both physically and emotionally. We believe in the three Rs. And we want our company to be a refreshing reminder of what everything—not just trash—can be about. Think of it: Our electronic format allows us to keep out impact on mother Earth minimal. Plus, we can update in that same format, and you can upload updates FREE. Amazing! We can keep renewing our books without reprinting. It is remarkable new way to read

One of the new designs...

Just for you...

Next seven...

Amazing! Salty chocolate and hot tea!! Yahhuuumm! Hope the drive went well. I somehow traveled that road with you today. Not the easiest of drives, but a good one. Vacillating here to there, out and in. ALWAYS lovely to take a break from "stuff" to play with you... Loved your edits. Locked into to the master vault now.

Moving on to the next seven... Um, I just realized that the 7s also match the ROYGBIV. Duh. You are so clever!

To imagine more. Our tag line. To us, it says it all. The power of conjuring your own image is extraordinary. We are asking you to picture less so that you may imagine more. Not only is it a superior educational tool that grows one’s ability to think and form lasting knowledge, it builds self-esteem. Isn’t it gratifying to create images based on the feelings and sensations within yourself? Wow. That’s all we can say. Wow. More please. Much much more.

We love the thought of you lifting up in luscious laughing lightning lessons. How do we know this happens? We let life lead our longing to learn more about the lure of lucratively leafing through letters. Less is so much more. Little letters lead to large lexicons of love. And that’s how we roll.

m

Marketing MANIA! With the miniscule overhead and the microscopic production cost of p i c t u r e l e s s, we can invest mega amounts of time and energy into our marketing and education! Plus! We get a fantastic margin with Amazon! What magic! Some of the current plans include greeting cards, postcards, flash cards, jewelry, temporary tattoos, Twitter madness, Facebook insanity, mugs, t-shirts, mousepads, screensavers, posters and last but not least, customized alphabet books—we already get multiple requests daily for these! Magnificent madness!

n

Our n o t h i n g series is the most exciting thing we’ve seen in books in a long time! We never tire of wanting nothing to mean something, because often it does, doesn’t it? There is a lot to be gained in nothing. In these books, you get to work to see, to find, to imagine, and to feel. Feel your way to the image. Oh! We love it! The n o t h i n g series pushes the reader to not give up, not on themselves, and not on their ability to achieve meaning in what might seem like nothing.

p i c t u r e l e s s books

to imagine more

w o n d e r f u l,

I will be traveling tomorrow. My drive time is like your run time. It's when the answers come. So...I thought we should ask some questions...

How does p i c t u r e l e s s get reviews for books? How do we get the post cards online? Who should p i c t u r e l e s s partner with to do the apps? What questions should I be asking, might be a better start.

Post a question or two for me to play with. Love the first seven- pressing on. (((h)))

a
When we play with our abc’s we find beautiful, simple ways to expand our lives. In our dream to make feeling good simple and fun, we turned to the source of learning that we all have in common, no matter what culture, gender, age, creed. The abc’s unite us in ways that we have only begun to find. The possibilities are endless, and the fun, simple: infinite.

b
We believe in giving our best beauty to those who find us. We believe the world is ready to blossom. We believe in becoming, no, ballooning into the beautibountiful best we all want to be!

c

Our The c a n v a s series offers a creative way to teach art, to do art and to play and make the words come alive. First in the imagination, next, we hope on the page, or screen, in the sand, or on the icing of a cake! These words can then expand one’s knowledge, and thus, expand the pleasure of the art in a museum, the images on TV or in the movies, or of course, in reading a book. Knowing the words of art, make art come a l i v e !

d

Desire. At p i c t u r e l e s s, we dive into our dreams. Could a word, just one word, change a day? Bring a little lift to the dreary? We don’t doubt that discovering delightful d words is a pretty darn quick way to fulfilling our greatest desire: bringing delectable dancing deep within our reader’s hearts and minds.

e

Science. Math. The Unknown. OurThe e x p l o r e series gives us the exciting opportunity to give the complex, ease and to energize and enliven topics that can exhaust! We want to exploit words enough to entice people to where we are… in LOVE with the Universal Laws of Nature. It is an endless frontier! Imagine… E n d l e s s !

Greensburg, Pennsylvania brought the co-creators together in Graduate school. Adrea and Teff attended and completed Seton Hill University’s Writing Popular Fiction program. They habitually wandered gallivanted between scheduled group sessions in search of writing solitude. One such chance occasion, they rushed gravitated to the same perfect groovy or great? quiet place. A fabulous groovy or great? partnership occurred.

Verbose is good for the vision. When I alliterated us to groovy, I might have gone to far!

The postcards are getting better, hmm? Made more designs today. If I can f i g u r e out how to link one up I will... Otherwise it'll be a surprise. Next step... how can we get those online for others to send to each other?

I loved the quote today... and I appreciated it so much! You get it? Here tis in casties . . .

"Be easy about this. Be playful about it. Don't work so hard at it. Let your dominant intent to be to feel good, and if you don't feel good, then let your dominant intent be to feel relief. Feel your way through it. If you think your way through it, you can get off on all kinds of tangents. If you feel your way through it, you can come quickly to your Core Energy, and when you do that only good can then flow to you." (AH)

As I type I l i s t e n to Exilio by Thievery Corporation which makes me think in e s p a ñ o l! Much movement toward this translation concept.

alphab(ull)ets progress... this is us. it is an alphabet of p i c t u r e l e s s thus something we have done many times. Neat part is, we can keep changing it... Here are the first seven letters cuz I know how you L O V E your 7s... Your g e n i u s awaits... make them ours. I deepened the "c" because true yellow is hard to see again a white background. Better?

The spacing between letter and words below will be funky unless we lower the size of the "shout" and I force the spacing. Can do. IDK. L e m m e know whats suits your BIG heart and crrrrazzzzy gorgeous g e n i u s mind.

VIOLA! Here's to FUN!

When we play with our abc’s we find beautiful, simple ways to expand our lives. In our dream to make feeling good simple and fun, we turned to the source of learning that we all have in common, no matter what culture, gender, age, creed. The abc’s unite us in ways that we have only begun to find. The possibilities are endless, and the fun, simple: infinite.

b

We believe in giving our best to those who find us. We believe the world is ready to blossom. We believe in becoming, no, ballooning into the beautiful best we all want to be!

Our c a n v a s series offers a creative way to teach art, to do art and to play and make the words come alive.

Our e x p l o r e series gives us the exciting opportunity to give the complex, ease and to energize and enliven topics that can exhaust! We want to exploit words enough to entice people to where we are… in LOVE with the Universal Laws of Nature. It is an endless frontier! Imagine… E n d l e s s ! That is certainly our definition of exhilaration!

Few thoughts...

g: I don't think either of us are the type to quarrel... so maybe something different... Instead of either of us turning away and finding a new spot to hide in? Instead of leaving, we stayed? Something... Cuz I think both of us would have easily found another spot and never thought much of it... but instead we did share... and we worked together from the very beginning...

b: Seems a little obvious. Of course we will do our best. Beauty maybe? Maybe more on how our concept is to show the beauty of words and letters and putting a whole alphabet together in one theme...

Onto you... I also think I got long-winded on some (kinda like this blog entry!) So... where can we cut and clean and crsipify it?

You Create Great!

the sole intent of all pictureless picture books is to encourage the reader to conjure an image, or a feeling, or a way to seeing and believing in the words on the page. it is our forever hope that each letter and word evoke elation and joy within the reader as they play with their ABCs.

p i c t u r e l e s s word dream

"A powerful agent is the right word whenever we come upon one of those intensely right words...the resulting effect is physical as well as spiritual and electrically prompt." -Mark Twain

We want you to feel better right now!

When I began collecting words in my classrooms, the results on the morale of at risk students were positively phenomenal.

Another said that she wished something like this was available when she was a child.

I then collaborated with a n g e l partner, Adrea L. Peters.  She breathed new air into this dream that we share.

I love you!
